On today's Workshop Wednesday we walk through the process of cleaning up a melted boot mark on a Vance & Hines exhaust.
In this video, Bryan uses WD40 and a pre-1981 penny with great results!
Other options for scraping something aggressive would be anything made of solid copper, or something plastic like a credit/debit card/ plastic paint scraper. For solvents, you can also use oven cleaner or some form of contact/parts cleaner. The key is to be gentle, and not rush as this process as it takes time to gently remove the melted boot/plastic bag using a microfiber cloth.
