After the summer break, it was time to get back on track. The long and technical Silverstone circuit in Great Britain hosted the 12th round of the MotoGP season.
☑️ In MotoGP category, two of our riders entered the top 10. Miguel Oliveira ranked as the best IXON representative: he scored a 6th position at the conclusion of some fierce battles on track. Despite being in serious pain after a tough high side on Saturday, Aleix Espargaro was able to claim a 9th place: well done to the Aprilia Racing rider!
☑️ In Moto2 category, Jeremy Alcoba was the only IXON rider to see the checkered flag and managed to finish in the points. His teammate Marcel Schrötter fell near the very end of the race. Unfortunately, Sam Lowes suffered a crash in the first free practice that ruled him out for the remainder of his home GP due to a dislocated shoulder. We wish him the very best for his recovery!
☑️ The IXON teamwear was very much highlighted during this British GP. Our brand’s technical equipment for team members made it to the podium in premier class with Aprilia Racing taking 2nd position and also in lightweight class with Red Bull KTM Tech3 signing 3rd place. Congratulations to them!
